George Voss takes an in depth look at both the standard and v-tail versions of this exciting Mark Triebe's design. The Tempest is one of only a handful of hollow core molded sailplanes made in the US. The Tempest utilizes the popular MH32 airfoil, with a full elliptical leading edge and upswept wingtips. The purchaser has a choice of several different lay-ups to suit the plane's desired function... everything from Thermal Duration (TD) to Dynamic Soaring (DS), with weights ranging from the high 60’s to the mid 80’s.
